What is a denture?

A denture is a removable appliance that is made to feel and function like your own teeth. It is usually made of acrylic or metal.

What are the benefits?

The replacement of your teeth will transform your quality of life as it will allow you to eat certain foods again. However, a significant benefit of dentures is that they beautifully provide support for the cheeks and lips to create a more youthful appearance.

What types of dentures are available?

A complete or full denture replaces all of the missing teeth in one jaw. A partial denture replaces some but not all the teeth in one jaw. We can also provide implant-retained dentures where the denture is secured in place to prevent movement on eating or talking.

How long will it take to fit dentures?

The duration from the initial diagnosis followed by impressions to the final denture will vary depending on each individual case but on average a treatment may require five appointments.

What can I expect?

Well-fitting dentures can improve your appearance and our cosmetic dentures can be made to look like your original teeth. New dentures sometimes take time to get used to but any initial adjustments are included in our fees.

Are dentures easy to maintain?

Dentures like teeth will need to be cleaned regularly with care to help maintain oral hygiene.
