Imran is our Practice Principal, Implant and Award Winning Dentist having won the UK Clinical Award for Single Implants in 2022; Highly Commended UK Clinical Award for Multiple Implants in 2022 and won the Multiple Implant Category at the 2021 UK Aesthetic Dentistry Awards.

He graduated from Bristol University in 2006 where he received the awards in Periodontology (management of the gums) and Prosthetics (replacement of teeth).

Having completed hospital posts at Bristol Dental Hospital and Royal United Hospital Bath in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from 2007-2009, he was awarded his Fellowship in Dental Surgery in 2009 from the Royal College of Surgeons.

He began placing implants in 2010 and in 2014 was awarded a Master’s degree with Distinction in Implantology.

In 2018, Imran completed an Advanced Surgical Fellowship under Professor Urban at the Bone Regeneration Institute which allows him to routinely use the latest innovative techniques in the provision of implant treatment, bone & soft tissue regeneration procedures.

His desire to meet patient expectations remains at the forefront of his treatment approach and his level of experience allows him to manage the most complex of cases in a predictable manner. To this end, Imran accepts referrals from practitioners from other parts of the UK for the replacement of teeth with implants, bone grafting, and sinus grafting surgery.

Imran is also actively involved in mentoring and teaching other dentists in improving their cosmetic and surgical dentistry. This takes the form of shadowing, direct supervision in clinic, teaching face-to-face, lecturing and speaking at conferences to larger groups. In 2022, he wrote a book to help dentists with aspects of cosmetic and implant dentistry and launched a teaching programme based at Tower Bridge, London (www.aestheticprosthetic.com). In 2023, he wrote a second manual for experienced dentists focussing on surgical dentistry and this is combined with a teaching programme in London (www.15-c.com/ridgepreservation).

Outside of Cheltenham & Cotswold Dental, you will find Imran with his 3 young children (Luca, Theo & Sophia) and wife Kristina; doing exercise or uploading teeth onto his Instagram account (driminasser).
